Effective:

1. Who operates PoolSolver

This section serves as the operator disclosure required by Slovenian law and the EU e-Commerce Directive. For any matter relating to this policy, please contact info@poolsolver.com.

2. What PoolSolver itself collects

The calculators on PoolSolverare stateless. They do not require accounts, they do not store user inputs on the operator's servers, and they do not set first-party cookies during normal use. Inputs entered into a calculator remain in the visitor's browser and are computed client-side; nothing is transmitted to the operator in the ordinary course of using a calculator.

PoolSolver therefore does not collect personal data directly from visitors through normal browsing or calculator use. Personal data processing on the site is limited to the advertising integration described in the next section.

3. Advertising and cookies

At the effective date of this policy, no advertising is currently displayed on PoolSolver. This section describes how advertising will operate once it is enabled, so the policy is in place ahead of that change.

When advertising is enabled, PoolSolver will display advertising provided through Raptive, an advertising-management partner that runs the operator's relationship with Google Ad Manager and Google AdSense demand, and with other advertising partners. To serve and measure advertisements, Raptive and its partners — including Google — will set cookies and similar identifiers on visitor devices.

These identifiers may be used for ad delivery, ad measurement, frequency capping, fraud prevention, and — where the visitor has given consent — personalised advertising. The categories of data accessed are typical of programmatic advertising: device and browser identifiers, IP-derived approximate location, the page and referrer being viewed, and standard log information.

For details on how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see Google's “How Google uses information from sites that use its services” policy. For Raptive's publisher and partner disclosures, see the legal pages at raptive.com/legal.

Once advertising is enabled, visitors in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom will be presented with a consent surface before non-essential cookies are set. The consent surface will be implemented through a Google-certified consent management platform (provided through Raptive). The surface will operate with Google Consent Mode, so consent signals are honoured across the advertising integrations on the site.

Visitors will be able to change or withdraw consent at any time using the settings link presented in the consent surface. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal.

5. Analytics

PoolSolver does not currently use first-party analytics. If first-party analytics are introduced in the future, this policy will be updated to describe them, and any analytics that involve cookies or personal data will be gated behind consent in the EEA and the United Kingdom.

6. Your rights under the GDPR

Under the General Data Protection Regulation and Slovenian data protection law, you have the following rights in relation to personal data processed about you:

  • the right of access to your personal data;
  • the right to rectification of inaccurate personal data;
  • the right to erasure of personal data;
  • the right to restriction of processing;
  • the right to object to processing;
  • the right to data portability; and
  • the right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Slovenian supervisory authority — the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia (Informacijski pooblaščenec) — if you believe processing infringes data protection law. The supervisory authority's website is www.ip-rs.si.

Data subject requests in relation to PoolSolver should be sent to info@poolsolver.com.

7. Retention, international transfers, and children

Personal data processed through the advertising integration is retained for the periods required by Google and Raptive policies for their respective purposes — typically measured in months to a small number of years for measurement, fraud prevention, and frequency capping. Specific retention periods are set by those partners and disclosed in their own policies referenced above.

Advertising partners may process personal data outside the European Economic Area. Such transfers occur under the safeguards permitted by the GDPR, including European Commission adequacy decisions where they apply and, otherwise, the Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission.

PoolSolver is not directed at children under the age of 16 and the operator does not knowingly collect personal data from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal data through the site is asked to contact info@poolsolver.com so the matter can be addressed.

8. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the operator's practices, the advertising integration, or applicable law. Material changes will be indicated by an updated effective date and, where appropriate, communicated through the site.
